RIS-Assisted Network Slicing Resource Optimization Algorithm for Coexistence of eMBB and URLLC

Enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) and Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) are the two main services in fifth-generation network. URLLC have stringent latency reliability requirements, while eMBB designed to provide extremely high data rates for content delivery. The differentiated Quality of Service (QoS) requirements make their coexistence on same bandwidth resources a challenging issue. To meet this challenge, we introduce reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) technology assist solving resource allocation problem. problem is formulated as optimization problems. For problem, jointly optimize block allocation, power RIS phase shift matrix propose two-stage alternating iterative algorithm maximize total traversal capacity users. packet reception rate minimize amount loss ensuring quality service URLLC. A heuristic based pre-configured proposed. Simulation results show that proposed can strict delay even when nearly 95.5%. Meanwhile, caused by reuse less than 6%. Thus, applicability solution demonstrated.
